Towel Prompt
I spend a lot of time in hotel rooms. And years ago hotels started putting a sign in the washroom like the one you see here. They are a good example of behaviour-changing prompts. Imagine all of the water and energy that has been saved because of these reminders.

It is ironic that nearby there are always those disposable little plastic shampoo bottles, though!

Despite these prompts, the maids frequently change the towels anyway.

I haven’t noticed that happening often, but I have experienced it a few times. It is an interesting comment you make, as it sure undermines the campaign when it does happen, and makes it all look like greenwashing.

Do you know of any research that says this, or is this personal observation? If you know of any research, I would really appreciate if you could point me to it.

    Anyone else have this experience?
